Black Mouth began in Bell, California when Brandon Carmona first formed the project with close friends to learn and perform songs by The Strokes for a school talent show. Eventually, Brandon began bringing in original songs, with the band spending their days after school rehearsing and recording out of his mom's living room.
In 2017, Black Mouth released its debut album, Revenant Guerrillas, a collection of songs that captured the early foundation of the band's sound.
Over the years, the lineup has changed but the vision remained. Since the beginning, Brandon has continued to write, record, and produce the music behind Black Mouth, driven by a deep love and respect for the records that inspired him and a desire to make music that people can connect with in the same way.
